DescriptionI got this piece from Kirk Dilbeck, who was kind enough to put me in touch with the collector who commissioned it. This is what he told me about the origin of this piece:"I loved his work on these characters back in the 1970's for Marvel and met him and his wife in Tampa at Mega -Con back in 2010. He had a unique way of doing things back then where he brought hundreds of loose pencils for the potential customers to review. I chose two, paid him half, gave him my phone number, he called when they were completed so I could mail him the 2nd half of the payment via check and he mailed them out. Very long process but worth the wait. He used no email address and had no rep to guide the process. After the first two pieces, I called his home when I wanted a piece completed and we went through the same process a number of times. His wife always answered the phone and always remembered me and the characters I requested Rudy to draw. This piece was completed right before Covid and was shipped with the Tarzan & Jane we are selling as well. His detail was still incredible at the time these were completed and it is a shame he is not still doing covers. I have not spoken to him since 2019 so I do not know if he is still producing new pieces." I just think it's so impressive that Rudy Nebres made this piece when he was 82 years old! He hasn't lost any of his quality over the years. Apparently he's still taking commissions. Stunning fantasy piece! It has an epic feel like it should accompany the prose of the books. The background has just as much if not more work put into it as the main figures in focus.

Congrats , this is a spectacular masterpiece by Rudy.
Thanks for mentioning me in the description. It's very appreciated. I am still working closely with Rudy. He is presently 86 , energetic and still available for sketch card, blank sketch cover, 9x12 and 11x14 .
