Description

With all of the Ramona Fradon pieces I’ve picked up, it was only a matter of time before I bought my first piece of comic strip art, given her long tenure on the title. After browsing all of the available pieces, I settled on this one which plays up the mystery & adventurous nature of Brenda Starr as well as the simple fact that I just found this one to be especially visually appealing. Really love that last panel, opening the door to a flash of lightning! A great example of micro storytelling within a larger narrative.

I like the enegry in the last panel as she opens the door and it blasts her and her hairdo. Fradon sets it up perfectly with how pretty her hair looks int he first two panels.
