An absolute Grail page for me. Ult Pete and Ult Kitty are probably my 3rd fave comics couple after 616 Pete & MJ and Kyle Rayner & Donna Troy. I've been searching for a Bagley page of the two of them together so I reached out to the amazing Jimmy Lawrence - https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerydetail.asp?gcat=40329 - I asked if he'd be willing to sell or trade and after some really nice talk back and forth he agreed to trade it for my West Coast Avengers page - https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1769721 . I hated giving that one up but the more we talked the more it seemed fate had intervened. This Ult Spidey page was one near and dear to me when I was a teen and that Avengers page one for Jimmy's childhood years. It really felt the more we chatted that we were just facilitating where these pages really, truly needed to end up. What a trade!! Jimmy is an INCREDIBLE person and the whole swap went so smoothly. I had such a great time getting to know him and felt so honored he agreed to this. I'll never be able to thank him enough. THANKS SO MUCH JIMMY! YOU RULE!!

For posterity sake here is Jimmy's original description for this page: I'd been looking to pick up a piece from Ultimate Spidey for awhile. This page really hits on the "quiet moments" that I liked about volume one. Sure it's just Peter and Kitty having a conversation but boy did Bagley and Dell every knock this one out of the park! The camera angles and perspective from panel to panel is amazing and the detailed inking by John Dell is just fantastic! *When I picked this up from Dell at a con he noted that Marvel insisted on placing a word balloon over Kitty's left leg in the second panel because there's a small line indicating her panties...

Really cool as Bagley revisits this kind of puppy love scene that took place between Peter and MJ back in the early issues. He has a new inker here and provides a new twist with so many unique overhead angles.
