Description

15" x 10" image area. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Avengers #214 Page 3 Original Art (Marvel, 1981). Bob Hall and Dan Green.

Multiple Avenger appearances including Tigra and Captain America. Iron Man Tony Stark in civilian clothes (on the wagon as he orders a Dr. Pepper!), awaits a meeting with Thor Don Blake. We are treated with a transformation scene of Thor turning into Blake as he arrives for the lunch with Stark.

This is a sad, nostalgic page showing the former Twin Towers and the once legendary Twin Towers bar lounge, "Windows of the World" where Stark and Blake meet to discuss Hank Pym.

Tigra, Thor in flight, plus the Twin Towers makes for one great page. Congrats!

I loved the bar in Windows on the World. Went there when I was 21 and had hoped to go back there in 2001. Sadly, that never happened.

I love seeing depictions of the Twin Towers in pre-2001 comics as it helps keep alive the memory of them. Thanks for posting this!

Great page reminding us of how the Avengers interacted together in real world settings and landmarks. Hall and Green sell the height of the towers and the panoramic view with the wide panels.

Interesting Avengers page. It was cool how often Avengers books would feature the team visiting real life sites around New York, and indeed, the world. But, sadly, they'll never return to Windows of the World.
