Descriptionfull page splash of Solomon Grundy as he awaits in a prison cell. the pencils are done by Fernando Pasarín and are nothing short of spectacular. This image is almost a throwback to the Frankenstein monster when he is captured and held in a prison cell. both are creatures who were dead but brought back to life. one by lightning and the other by the dark magics of slaughter swamp. both are very similar as they are outcast by their horrific appearances, but both are just lost souls looking for acceptance. this splash shows the solitude of his loneliness as he is used by other villains to help complete their deeds. he is an immensely powerful character who is cursed to be born and then die over and over again as the nursery rhyme says. "Solomon Grundy born on a Monday... the pencils are amazing and with all going on in this piece, I am drawn to his untied boots. Fernado is a master with a pencil.Social/Sharing |

Wow, getting a fill page splash of Solomon Grundy taking a dump in a prison cell is quite the coup! I love it!

I like the single rose he's holding. A nice contrast to this behemoth in size, but might reflect that he is more complex a character with a soft side.

Who knows as he goes through his continuous life and death existence what little memories he holds on to from his last life.

I mean, he DOES look pretty relieved! But seriously, it's a beautifully drawn image and I love the juxtaposition of the bik hulking brute calmly sitting and holding a very delicate flower. Great addition to your collection!

No problems Ruben. We are here to have fun looking at artwork and busting some balls. Now get me a pint of ale and it's a good night.
