The thing of nightmares! Beautiful work with fabulous movement. Congrats!
Great creepy cover!
Excellent Buckler/Giacoia goodness! Not only do you get a nice, large image of your Man-Thing which everyone has been salivating for, but also some Good Girl Art thrown in for good measure! The position of the lovely lass in pareticular is really nice and it gives the sensation that with a bit of carelessness, your giant-size Man-Thing might be strong enoug hto tear her apart! Brownie points for the skeleton creeping in at the bottom. Happy Halloween!
Creeptastic. I didn't read this when it was originally published but I did read it a few years later (maybe '77 or '78) when I was still a youngster. The face of that demon in the doorway haunted me at the time and still does 😬.
Fantastic cover!
Such a wildly cool 70's cover!
Re: the additional image... this is where the stat BECOMES the art.
Such Bronze Age goodness. Even Man-Thing looks cool. Congrats.
Thanks Marcus for showing us your Man-Thing, certainly an impressive piece!
Mossy vintate goodness! Many a world definitely appears to be colliding here! Nice composition and action and makes you want look what's going in the book fo sho! Take an adventure with this thing of man :) Congrats!
A pinup girl scared out of her mind! Great Cover! BOO! And Happy Halloween Marcus!
Wow! Now that's a bombastic and wonderfully horrific cover!
What a marvelous Man-Thing! A true Halloween gem. Happy Halloween!
Great cover, Marcus!
beautiful STAT. Why are they pulling at Sharon?
Must resist the obligatory Man-Thing puns....
So um...A beauty of a cover!
Every inch of this Man-Thing cover is to be admired!
Every guy who collects original art would love to have a Man-Thing that big... On their cover! On their cover, is what I meant to write! This is a ghoulishly spectacular piece, and so perfect for Halloween. Congrats !!
Great Man-(sta)Thing cover.
this is what happens when you go to a Halloween party and all the males go stag. when you show up with your girl, everyone tries to make a play for her.
AWESOME Marcus! Congrats!
Pencils and inks are so good here! Congrats!!!
Well, she doesn't want any lines!! Dude, this is amazing! I love Ted, and to get him in all his 70s grandeur on a super sweet Buckler cover? And all those monsters! I gave Dino the win today, but I think it has to be shared. You co-won CAF today, Marcus. Swampariffic!
Very nice Buckler cover, even with the stat :)
I Fear your Man-Thing is bigger than mine! But Where World's Colide, Adventure is sure to follow you into a Group of Comics you will surely Marvel!
A monstrous cover! You truly are a minion of madness!
Man-Thing on Halloween? Shouldn't you have saved this cover for Valentines?
Big boy cover with quite the versatile Man-Thing... swingin' like an elephant trunk, I mean, swinging the gal like one.
Fabulous Man-Thing cover! What a fun example and you chose the right day to post it. It's so crowded with goons and creeps but the titular character and striped damsel command the scene
Save the Panda! And collect stats! Remarkable cover, by the way.
Hard to imagine getting any more creepy figures in this cover. Congrats!
Nice cover
i always thought of him as having a brain like an octopus, smart but just thinks so differently
Wow! Fantastic Bronze Age cover!!
Happy Man-Thing Halloween!!!
Where monsters collide, hat down !
They completely mess up her bell bottoms! Wonderful addition to the family, Marcus.
That's a great one. Giacoa's inks really add to the atmosphere.
Beautiful Man-Thing cover! The way Man-Thing is holding the girl in his beastly paw reminds me of King Kong holding his beauty with a lovingly protective grip.
There's not a square inch on this where some horror is not oozing. It's absolutely incredible! Love it, Marcus!!!!!
This is one of the most perfect Man-Thing drawings I've ever seen.
Your are a Rick Buckler's big fan!! I deeply understand it! His work is superb! I love that cover, man! I love it!!!!
Bronze Age Marvel Monster! You can't go wrong here.
THIS is what comic book covers are supposed to look like....
Impressive cover! Lots going on in this one. . .
Wow! Enough going on for multiple covers and handled beautifully! Huge congrats!!
So much nostalgia involved with these Bronze Age covers.
Wonderful!
Yuck! Congrats anyway!
Marcus, you know how to throw a party. Had so much laughs reading many of the comments. Your Man-Thing is getting hugely popular around here. Congrats!
Clearly the Comics Code Authority had just given up by 1973 to allow the image next to the logo of Man-Thing shaking his behind to draw in readers.
Wow what an epic cover!
Where Worlds Collide !!! Fantastic cover Markus ! Buckler and Giacoa full of energy ! One piece stat seems more clean than normal collage for sure...
This is amazing artwork, congrats!
Wow gorgeous pickup!
Awesome!!!
This is wonderful! You have great taste!
How can something be so beautiful in form and so horrifying in subject matter? Truly special piece.
Very cool '70s Advenure Into Fear cover from Rich Buckler and Frank Giacoia! I love how Bronze Age covers always show the most dramatic scene from the story, kind of like movie trailers do for movies. It's usually an action scene and the more action the better. Fabulous example here!
A wonderful splash page, with nice girl and terrible monsters!
What a great cover piece! Congrats
Great Cover !
Wow!! Really love it!!
Fantastic pickup, Marcus!
A Man-Thing creature extravaganza packed with detail! It never goes well if you show up to the Monster Mash uninvited! Also love those skeleton hands at the bottom. This is a fantastic cover.
Incedible Man Thing cover.
What a great cover!!!
even with all that's going on in this cover my eyes immediately drawn to the striped shirt on the GGA ;-) - awesome cover Marcus!
Terrific Man thing example from this era
A superbly scary cover from the amazing Bronze Age of Marvel Comics! This piece is especially cool - Congrats!
Wow...you've got some killer stuff. Great cover.
Nothing like showing off yer Man-Thing and not getting arrested, absolutely love the Buckler/Giacoa cover (but the door demon's not very intimidating in pumps), congrats!
Buckler did some great covers for Marvel in the '70s, and this really is superb - with plenty of the regular cast on display for all the Man-Thing fans. Congrats!
