DescriptionThis may well be one of the best - and certainly the most striking and zaniest - portraits of the Two-Gun Kid in this gallery. I finally have a Manix, as they say, and what a significant one to start out with. Manix really knocked this one out of the park - and then some! The overall design is amazing as is the artwork. The colors are so vibrant than even what would have been a lousy photo from an equally lousy photographer could not detract from the overall attractiveness of this piece. It is quite clear to me that Manix takes great pride in his work and puts in so very much effort as a craftsman of the first order. Many thanks, too, to Jiggy who, as I have mentioned before (and never tire of doing so), reps his artists with great passion and love. Social/Sharing |

Not at all, Jiggy. Every word - and more - are well deserved!

Manix really gave this a pulp type feel to the design. The larger than life superhero in the background overlooking the western landscape where a shoot out is taking place. The blues are well done. When I first looked I thought The Spirit. Congrats CAB!

The mask, really accentuates how much this looks like one of the Minions doing Spirit cosplay. Love it!

Many thanks, Duke! That thought did strike me fleetingly although it is quintessentially Manix!

Manix sets the tone and setting for this dashing hero of the western plains! A mix of old school pulp illustration and new wave design that's purely Manix level!

Another stunner from Manix! The facial expressions are amazing and I love the idea of shootout in between the rocks. The large detailed face works so well here, and makes the piece feel that much more grand. Big congrats CAB!

Many thanks, Tyler! I absolutely agree that the design and perspective are wonderful but the execution of it as well as the vivid colors are really something to behold. All in all, a really excellent commission.

Okay, I reserve the right to change my opinion, but for right now at this very moment, this is the best Two-Gun Kid piece in your collection. Magnificent!

Many thanks, Rubén! Let's just say that this is in a category all of its own. As mentioned, Manix really outdid himself with this particular interpretation.

Many thanks, Toni! I totally agree and, as two collectors who love the older artwork as well, this speaks about the magic and beauty of the hobby that transcend eras.

Every Manix piece is unique and you never really know what he is going to do. Seing pieces like this make me happy that I have one to pick up at OAX. It is not super hero related so we will see what he does and I hope it turns out as well as yours did.

Many thanks, Paul! Yes, I totally agree that every Manix piece is unique. And he has never disappointed anyone yet. The way he pulled off this particular piece is quite amazing and I am very sure that that will be the case with your piece too. I look forward very much to seeing it.
