DescriptionNot sure why I sold/traded away my prior page from issue 34, but glad to get one backAnd what a page! This issue gave us the 3rd full appearance of Deathstroke and starts the set up for the Judas Contract storyline. And this page gives us the first appearances of both Slade's wife Adeline, but also his son Joseph (Jericho). And yes, it is partially colored, but that was done by George himself, so I'm cool with it. This page was originally purchased by Steve Lipsky (thanks again Steve!), and here's how he described the condition issues of the page: "The first - the obvious rubber cement stain on the first panel - it looks like DC wanted Slade's dialogue to continue seamlessly from the previous page and have the obligatory character identification (for any new readers) moved to the bottom. Thus, there was probably a stat on that panel that fell off in subsequent years. The other obvious difference from other Perez pages is the color on Panels 2, 3 & 4. To shed some illumination on this, I have to explain that I bought this page from George during one of the times we were chatting in his studio and going through his flat files. When I came across this page, I told George I was a bit surprised that he still had any Teen Titans pages left and I asked why it was colored. George explained that he purposely kept this page aside so he could practice his color technique. He told me that he did these colors using Dr. Martin's dyes and some colored pencils." Pretty classic issue! This early page of Slade in his undies is the front bookend setting up that devastating reveal at the end of the issue.
