Jade by Renato Camilo

I had long considered Renato to be a fine draughtsman, and wanted to add his version of Jade to my collection. In November of 2015, it looked like it was going to happen. We exchanged a few emails, and two days later, I received his first rough sketch. He had provided her with a generic Green Lantern power battery. Okay, I said. That’s different. But as she’s Alan Scott’s daughter, she should have his lantern, and sent additional reference. 24 hours later, a corrected rough landed in my inbox – and I knew we had a winner! One week into December, a scan of the finished pencils arrived. Renato said he’d get the inked drawing to me within a month. After what seemed like forever (I hate waiting) I finally received the art. And it was fabulous!
