DescriptionDr. Lang supervises Max and Karen as they attempt an interchangeability maneuver for the first time with real Valkyries. Robotech II: The Sentinels Book I # 5, page 8 (1989).I’ve had a devil of a time getting a page with a Veritech fighter on it, so I’m quite happy to have this one. Some major characters and a configuration change don’t hurt either. Signed on the back by Jason Waltrip. Per the artist, “gray markers to tone the pages. Starting to use a little gouache here. A lot of Robotech fans still hung on to the comics even as the show had gone by. Really cool alpha fighters page. I guess they had to still use this Mospaeda design just because it was supposed to be further in the future.

Yes, exactly. These are supposed to be the ships that show up in "New Generation" to save the day, but they're getting tested here for the first time.
