Description

Damon Owens returns for his 114th commission. In it, both DC Comics' Freedom Fighters and Marvel's Invaders, the official, retroactive teams of the Allied Forces during WW2, celebrate Thanksgiving together. The characters, starting with Captain America and moving clockwise are: Uncle Sam, Spitfire, Black Condor, Union Jack, Human Bomb, the Ray, Human Torch, Phantom Lady and Namor the Sub-Mariner. It's my 8th Dario Carrasco page. It's my 4th Invaders commission with earlier ones being by Paul Ryan, Darryl Banks and Julius M. Gopez. And I believe this is my first Freedom Fighters unless Damon corrects me. As usual, this was inked over a blueline of the pencils on 11"x17" Kubert 2-ply Strathmore board. Besides the usual inking tools I applied some zip to it for texture and contrast. It was completed November 20, 2022.
