DescriptionCory Smith's original art for the 1:25 Incentive Variant cover for Predator Versus Wolverine, issue 3.Harkening back to John Byrne's classic image of Wolverine in the sewer from Uncanny X-Men #132, except this time, Wolverine isn't the hunter! I jumped at the opportunity to pick up this piece of art as soon as I saw it. Not only does it have two of the most well known and celebrated characters in fiction, but I love that Wolverine appears in his classic brown uniform. It grounds the piece once colored and printed as you can see in the additional image below. A huge thanks to Cory Smith for making sure this got to me. It was my final purchase last year and I wasn't sure it would ever get to me due to the issues at Cadence Comic Art. Cory made sure it did. Social/Sharing |

A thriller as Predator getting the drop on Wolverine is almost unheard of!

What a dream matchup of bladed combatants. I love the layout here where both characters are so well illustrated and there is no clear answer to who will win this battle. Congrats - so happy to hear this is safe and sound in your collection Josh!

So cool seeing these 2 in battle - didn't think we'd ever. Super dramatic image, like you say, taking us back but still all Cory. Liking that lighting effect a lot, too. Cory's good! Congrats!

What is it about Wolverine and sewers? LOL! Not that we'd ever tire of the image, but throwing Pred into the mix is certainly one way to spruce it up. Great cover!
