DescriptionOriginal cover art from Johnny Bruck (* March 22, 1921; † October 6, 1995).Gouache on illustration board. Roughly 13x19 in size. Cover of German Atlan episode #239, published under the title 'Duell der Agenten' (Duel of the Agents) in 1976. Atlan da Gonozal is a main character of the Perry Rhodan series. Given the character was very popular, it was given its own series within the Perry Rhodan universe starting 1969. It was quite successful and the last edition #850 was published in 1988. Great piece of the time period when crime noir was more popular than sci-fi. So familair tropes were incorporated in new ways.
