A very tricky page handled very well! KAPOW!!!
I am going out on a limb to say this is probably the best page from the whole run! Congrats!!!
IN YO FACE!
Great score! Huge fan of Blevins on this! Congrats.
Not to be technical, but I am prettey sure that's Rek-Rap in a Sleepwalker Halloween costume.
Holy crap, how did you figure that out?? Truth is, Rek-Rap has been around forever, and has secretly been a part of every comic book issue since, well, "The Adventures Of Obadiah Oldbuck" from 1869, where he weas disguised AS Obadiah Oldbuck. (And yes, your comment prompted me to research what the first known comic printed in the United States was. It was "The Adventures Of Obadiah Oldbuck," starring Rek-Rap as Obadiah Oldbuck.) I just like writing "Obadiah Oldbuck." I might change my name to Obadiah Oldbuck.
.....Obadiah Oldbuck.
When Sleepwalker sleeps, he dreams of Rek-Rap!
Hahahah! I like that.
Very cool!!
Darkhawk and Sleepwalker were the two big new characters from Marvel in the 90s (that weren't related to the X-Men). Then to have two artists that were associated with them then on a splash! WOW! A lot to like on this one. Congrats
Uber '90s page based on the characters, the big bombastic muscles and action, and the horizontal DPS setup! Yup, a '90s piece if I've seen one :) I was all about the first issues of these 2 - what a fun time to be reading the funnybooks! Congrats!
Man, those are some bulgin' muscles!!!
That is really awesome! Love this! The shards of glass are an awesome touch.
They are really breaking the fourth wall with three fists and an elbow as an thinly veiled allusion to Three Men and Baby.
Bret Blevins' pencilling wizardry is astounding. One of the most unsung artists of the past 40 years. Excellent splash and in the right collection, natch!
Nice!
Phenomenal dps. Can feel the energy on this one
Sick! You can't get more art! Congrats
Wow - what a fantastic page, I think the Blevins Sleepwalker work is so under appreciated, and also it is tough to get his original art as well!
Goregous!
Wow!!!
Amazing sequence! I remember reading this in 1992! Darkhawk, man oh man - amazing!!
Incredible piece!! Big fan of Sleepwalker. Geat pickup. Congrats
