DescriptionIt is always nice to add a nostalgic page from a childhood book to my collection. It's even sweeter when it's a consecutive page to one I already own! This story introduced me to one of my favorite DC characters: Adam Strange! I find that the younger I was when I purchase a comic book or a toy, that the stronger the nostalgia is for me. Comic books helped me to read at the age of 5 when I started buying them. JLA was a favorite book I bought regularly, mainly because it gave me more heroes per book. I can still remember where I was when I bought and read this book. I purchased it in a candy store around the corner from my house in Brooklyn. It was a Saturday night, I walked into the living room and my family was watching All In The Family on TV. Vivid memories, even after all these many years! This is from the second part of a two-part story that marked the return of Silver Age space hero Adam Strange. In the previous issue, several JLA members vanished while visiting Adam's adopted planet Rann, leaving only their uniforms. Adam's long-time love Alanna is also apparently dead. Here Adam has used the Zeta-Beam to travel from Rann to the JLA's satellite HQ. Adam meets with Batman, Green Arrow, Hawkman and Aquaman to explain what happened. Green Arrow is upset that his girlfriend Black Canary is among the missing. Batman is distracted by a freak thundercloud on Long Island and tells the other JLA members they need to go help. Adam volunteers to assist, but Hawkman and Green Arrow decline his offer. By the end of the story, it is revealed that both the missing JLA members and Alanna are fine. The story ends with Adam and Alanna getting married with the JLA attending the wedding on Rann. I'm always interested in any page from JLA #100, 107, 120 or 121. A wonderful convocation of disparate heroes that could only happen with membership into the League!

How amazing is it when a page help conjur up such vivid childhood memories? Congrats, Rich, and it's an amazingly high quality content page, too!

A beautiful page from the highly under rated Dick Dillin. I always liked his work even though the printing at that time did not flatter him.
