Description

Lucy and her imaginary friend fall into the trap of the Ice Cream Man! Doomed addict Jimbo from issue 2 is tied to the bed. Ice Cream Man # 7, page 18 (2018).

Right from the colored pencils used to draw the devil boiling a cat in the first panel, I was impressed by the blending of childlike wonder and gritty horror on this page. The design of the first panel as a drawing in a notebook was as eye catching as the villain in his full demon form.

This is showing more of Ice Cream Man in his true form than we've seen. Always more frightening when a child is in danger. Morazzo hits all the horror beats including the children's sketch and the forked tongue at the end.
