"Lys" ** Artist James Martin portrait featuring actor Amanda Seyfried.

This one goes back to about October 2018, but sharing as James has a Kickstarter this week for his new book, "Lys" which is actually the title also of this artwork. Gamsol and Charcoal powder on marker paper. With gel pen highlights.

("Lys" means light in Danish and his lovely wife is Danish).

The illustration is simple perfection. I included the photo reference. Sadly, his celebrity original portraits don't end up in his books. I am a huge fan of HBO's "Big Love" series and watched every episode. The detail on Amanda's hair and eyes is uncanny. Even down to the A initial charm necklace.

This is a pretty large format for James. I think it's 17 inches. He is super professional and does wonderful work. Check him out. He is on CAF.
