Description

Here's a hand-drawn pencil commission from legendary animator John Pomeroy, featuring two video game characters he helped make iconic in his work for Don Bluth's animation studio!
The Princess Daphne transformed into her monstrous alter ego "The Banshee" now battles against her old rival Singe the Dragon. I was inspired by 2021's "Godzilla vs. Kong" and thought it would be fun to see John's take on a Bluthian-style kaiju battle between the two "Dragon" bosses from "Dragon's Lair" and "Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp." Also seemed like a nice way to mix up the dynamic between the characters; Singe held Daphne prison in the original game per the evil wizard Mordroc's orders while Mordroc was responsible for making Daphne into a monster for the sequel! Who will prevail in this unlikely rematch?
