DescriptionI'm wrapping up my Spectacular Spider-Men #1 posts tonight with TWO final fantastic pages. On this one, the action continues directly from my page 14 post from last week (with a talking heads cut-away page in between). Spidey is ripping off the webbing that Miles inflicted on him because of a comical misunderstanding, and then they hop away as THE JACKAL erupts on the scene. Such a great splashy panel that shows just how huge & hulked out the Jackal has become. Look how tiny Spidey and Miles are in comparison! Social/Sharing |

Huge difference in size and raw power! The scale of The Jackal dominates the page! I think Ramos drew Miles and Peter more cartoonish here compared to the rest of the page just to emphasize the realism of the threat.

The angrier the Jackal gets the...larger he gets?! :) I can dig it! Stakes upped - I mean, we got not 1 but 2 Spideys here! Again, idding those feathery (or should I say furry!) fine inks from Victor. Congrats!

Credit to Ramos for the explosive energetic pencilling he's infusing into all these pages. The Jackal is pretty terrifying here, which is saying something given that he has always been a pretty useless villain. Kudos to Olazaba as well, for the very complimentary inking style!

Omg! I would have just picked it up for the Animaniacs reference. Sublime!
