Description
This piece was created during one of David Finch's drawing programs on YouTube. Recorded in May 2022. It gives the unusual opportunity to see step by step how this piece was created.

Have been an admirer of the talents of David Finch ever since my son Ricky first introduced me to his art. Wanted to pick up something special to me at the Inaugral OAX Show this past January. Very excited that it turned out to be this piece from one of his portfolios. Was made even more special being able to visit with David as he drew other commisions. Such a fine man in addition to being a superb artist.

The fabled David Finch pickup!  Great example of his detailed rendering, plus a creepy severed head to boot.  Congrats!

Thanks Kin!

And it even looks like it came from a fable my friend.

Love the triumphant pose, calm expression, after taking care of business :)  Sweet Finch piece, Lee, and doubly cool to able to watch the artist working on it!  Congrats!

OMG! What a jaw-dropping image of the Witcher by the great David Finch! I love this ink drawing of Geralt of Rivia standing at the rim of a castle wall, holding his sword in one hand, and the severed head of a demon in the other. His contemptuous stare downward is priceless. I love how detailed David Finch's art is here. I really appreciate the way he draws every piece of armor, every fold in his shirt, every notch in his belt. David really goes all out in his art to make the character seem as real as he can. It's that attention to detail that makes him the artist he is. Love this piece so much! Great pick-up, congrats!

Thanks Bill!

I share your appreciation of this piece and how David interpreted the armour of this character. It's beautifully done.
