"The Messenger" ** Fantasy and comic artist Dorian Cleavenger

16" x 20" Bainbridge colored board illustration using Charcoal and Pastels by Dorian Cleavenger. Dorian signed on the back and titled in ink "The Messenger" title. Arrived in great condition with some evidence of previous framing so someone loved this before me.

Absolutely beautiful artwork, appearing so different in person than this scan. Just a calm beautiful narrative here. Definitely an exploration.

Official date unknown I think it is an earlier piece. Looks like adult film star Traci Lords, but I have yet to confirm with him.

Purchased this one this year actually from Hakes as she was too good to pass up. I still love Dorian works! This will be hung...Somewhere.

If anyone knows anything more about it let me know. Hakes description stated commission.

Gotta find someone to look at me the way this lady looks at the bird! If this was superhero drawing, direct laser beams of attraction can be seen. The dark lighting and what is revealed is quite splendid! The lace curtains are exceptionally delicate in showing a gentle breeze.
