Description
Coming out of the pages of AOA Sabretooth was taken in by the X-Men because he seemed reformed where wolverine had put his claw through his head. It turns out to be a ruse and he gets out and fights with Psylocke (kind of a rematch from Uncanny X-Men 213 I guess this time it's techinaclly Kwanon-if you know you know) and he leaves her for dead. The original X-Men go after him. Sabretooth is how I like him best, wild and not willing to be tamed. I remember this story being a heavier story because the question is asked "Are some people past redemption?" It also had a great wrap around chromium cover so very 90's.

This story leads into Valarie Cooper and the government putting him on the X-Factor team.

Great huge foreground shadow of Sabretooth in the first panel!  The panel with all three X-Men is a nice line up image where you sense their size in relation to each other.

Great contrasts on this page! Love The Sabretooth silhouette and how it lights the scene in panel one. The subway car all in black with him smashing throug hthe window is also really nice. I love that the empty space i nth window in panel three looks like an M. Coincidence?

That shadowy bleeding Sabretooth in panel is a true bold design move that makes for super effective storytelling.

For sure. There are several pages in this book that the inkers had plenty to do.
