Description

Artist Manuel Gonzales took over for Floyd Gottfredson on the Mickey Sunday pages in 1938. With the exception of a 3-year interruption during WWII (1942 to 1945), Gonzales would continue his work on the Sundays through his retirement in 1981. This 4-decade run on the strip is an impressive achievement and certainly places Gonzalez among the most important Mickey Mouse artists in the long history of the character. This one is from January 3, 1960 and is in great condition.
