Description
From the pages of THEORIES OF RELATIVITY comes another page from one of my favorite books, X-MEN UNLIMITED #4.

As I take a deeper look at each of the pages from this book, it becomes even more clear why I enjoy this book for both the story and art. As I have overly expressed in earlier pages that I’ve posted (2/3, 8, 48, 57), Bennett and Moncuse’s art go beautifully together to illustrate Lobdell’s story (even if some of the Nightcrawler, Destiny, Mystique story is still being played with, but this story still holds true and is the place where most of it and their connections started).

This page features Kurt (NIGHTCRAWLER incognito) as he bamf returns from reprimanding an abusive father and reconnecting him with his family. This books has quite a bit of domestic violence and abuse in various pages as it deals with an overall familial conflict and revelation. I don’t see a lot of pages of Nightcrawler in visual disguise where he is masquerading around so this page is a real treat for that. Also that center splashy panel of Rogue is perfection. Her pose, facial reaction, and style matches the great work also seen in Kurt’s undercover reactions. I love the banter and interactions early on in this pivotal book, which puts these two characters through some heavy paces. It’s a great start for a phenomenal book. Kurt says it best “There are many things you do well, Rogue . . . But ‘not drawing attention’ to yourself? Impossible.”

If there is an opportunity to rebuild this book as much as I can, I will continue to do my best when the ability arises.

Hot trenchcoat Rogue!  We all know she ain't hiding squirrels underneath and those curves demand to be revealed!  The full court press is put on to see if this Southen Belle responds to gentlemanly chivalry!

Fantastic page, Rogue looks so good here! Best of luck on tracking down more pages and completing the issue. I've been there and it's certainly challenging but also fun

The composition and inks on this are really nice and so is Sharpe's fantastic lettering. I suppose this would have come out during the final years of hand-lettering being commonplace, huh?
