Description

A big one checked off the list in a perfect way. I have a Charest Grifter piece but it's always gnawed at me that I don't have a published page from his run on WildCATs. The incredible Lance Suarez offered this to me and I freaked. Big thanks to him for being cool, kind and communicative.

OK now why this is so special. This is inked by Kevin Nowlan who I don't believe inked over Charest on any other pages. One of a kind. Nowlan is a hero of mine so obviously that takes this piece into the stratosphere.

I owe big thanks to Mikail Lotia for creating a stat overlay for me and also to the Head of my War Council, Patrick Rains.

Congrats Snorek! And yes, Lance definitely has his moments.

I've never read this title but I gotta say, the content of this page intrigued me greatly!

Skim the early issues and go right for Travis' issues. Some of the best 90's image work. Worth digging through the dollar boxes.

The genre taken to a whole new level by Charest and Nowlan when it needn't be, but done for the greater good of the artform!

nice page, the Nowlan inks really work well here over Charest - sounds like it took a little OA village for this piece to make it's way home in it's final form - good on them and you! congrats.

What came over me? Why did you hit me in my moment of loss? My pet centipede slinky had just passed in a sudden stroke during a Felix drop when you called! What a beauty! Travis kept this piece til the last. Congrats!

I would never have believed that Nowlan's approach would gel well with over Charest's pencils, but somehow it worked!

If I was an inker and got an assignment to ink Charest, I'd probably soil myself.  Not sure how Troy Hubbs and Richard Friend did it for all those years at Image.  But Nowlan the Master has never seen pencils he couldn't tame.  Nice page by two comics greats.

Charest and Nowlan should not mesh so well and yet here is proof of the contrary.

This run by Charest had some of the crispiest(?) inking ever. Just a terrific pick up!

Big congrats, man!  As you say, a true one of a one of a kind :)  Love that progression of bottom panels.  And you can see both Charest and Nowlan in the images!  And good looking out, Mikail, with the stat add!
