DescriptionWhen Anthony Snyder dropped a handful of these prelims by Kevin Maguire, I only got notifications for the ones he'd labelled as Legion characters. I was only going to purchase the one Chameleon Girl piece, but then I remembered that Maguire had done the covers for the first twelve issues of L.E.G.I.O.N., and wondered if maybe Anthony had also dropped some L.E.G.I.O.N. art without knowing who the characters were.As it turns out, I was right! He had this piece labelled as "Babe in Costume with Cape", but I'd recognize that belt and that cape anywhere! This is Lyrissa Mallor, ancestor to Shadow Lass and one of the founding members of L.E.G.I.O.N. It's already incredibly rare to find any unpublished art - prelims or otherwise - of L.E.G.I.O.N. characters, but this one is especially unique because Lyrissa's wearing her original costume, which she traded in for her L.E.G.I.O.N. uniform early on in the series. Maguire picked a great pose for her, with a regal stride that really lets her cape flow. If there is a finished piece for this prelim, hopefully I run into it someday! Social/Sharing |

These prelims are beautiful! If you don't come across the finished piece, Mark Farmer is only one email away, he can do wonders with prelims I've heard.

Sure she might be Lyrissa now, but I knew her back when she was as "Babe in Costume with Cape". She definitely moved on to better things than me. 😢
