Description

Bringing an inked piece from the talented Mark Schultz into my collection was something which had to happen. My good luck as Mark was a guest at HeroesCon 2024 and had this wonderful art available. His brush work is tremendous throughout this image. The board measures 11.5" x 9" in size.

Published in the inaugural issue of Skelos, The Journal of Weird Fiction and Dark Fantasy during the summer of 2016. The image is featured in the article, The Nameless Tribe Drafts by Robert E. Howard. It collects the thoughts of REH in regard to his created fictional world. Specifically as related to the Bran Mac Morn and Kull stories.

Mark shared with me the illustration represents, "Picts (Bran), Atlanteans (Kull), Lemurians, Neanderthals, and three arbitrary guys I threw into the background to expand on the theme."

If anyone has the opportunity to meet Mr. Schultz do yourself a favor and make that happen. He seems to truly appreciate his fans and is a great conversationalist.
