Description

It's like watching the start of an old western TV show! The sequenced storytelling up top and then the big half-page splash "Hold it Gunhawk!" Just an outstanding Splash.

Top it off with 'The Ghost Rider' Wanted: Dead or Alive" Does it get any better than that?

The Trimpe Cover says it all "The Ghost Rider was Wanted Dead or Alive. But I wanted him Dead!"

Ayers and Giacoia, veterans of the Western-adventure scene, are ideally matched, with Giacoia providing a fine-line inking job reminiscent of Gil Kane -- check out Gunhawk's facial contours in the lower panel -- over Ayers' rock-solid compositions.

Definitely looks like a 50's western teleplay in the age of b&w TV when seen in this original art form! The pacing is just right for a sequence to be played before the title and opening credits! The reveal of the Western Ghost Rider is a hook so you'd stick around after the commercial break!

What a great team to continue the era of westerns into the 70s. The book is that Ghost Rider wanted poster. Congrats!
