Congratulations! I love this! I bid on this piece on Heritage, but I don't think that i was the underbidder, as it went for considerably more than my high bid. I love how the vultures in flight separate the panels, just an extceptional layout. I'm really happy to see this on CAF and in your wonderful gallery. These Frazetta/Williamson, early collaborations on the John Wayne comic are absolute gems.
Trophy page in any collection. Congrats!
Love the staging and movement in every panel
I'm no expert on the matter but this is certainly a wonderful page by two absolute masters
More dynamic in illustration that stood out above the typical western faire, these panels are like little masterpieces that the prose has to follow rather than the other way around.
Great page! Williamson's work from this period had a wonderful fluidity of movement and layout, and what needs to be said about Frazetta? Even his signature was a work of art.
Even the birds are interesting!
A beautiful page. Astonishing brushwork.
