Martin Mystère #409 (2024) p 80,82: Cornered in the snow

The heroes don't have time to enter their snowy mountain-side destination before they are attacked again:

“The Bavarian Alps of Berchtesgaden. Today.”

“Rghrr!”

“Good move, Java. You've delayed them, at least for a while.”

“We're almost there... here we are. This... this is the entrance to the Eagle's Nest.”

“Java! What are you doing?”

“Rraaargh!”

“No! We were hoping to slow them down.”

“Devils from hell! They're upon us! We have no escape!”

This scene is the closest that the story comes to the cover image, which depicts Martin and Java, rowing in a gondola down a river in summer, as Martin shoots his Atlantean ray gun at a Gankerl on the shore. Likewise the frontispiece shows the monsters bursting in from all sides upon a well-dressed woman, in a library never seen in the story.
