Description

Brave and the Bold was the ONLY recurring series that I collected as a teenager. It helped that my favorite artist (the late, great Neal Adams) was a contributor for many issues.

You can imagine my immense fascination of wanting to read how Batman would team up with the House of Mystery. Even the cover was inviting you to enter if you dare. (see 2nd pic).

Scoring a page from this intriguing issue takes my admiration to another level.

Denny O'Neil and Adams' exceptional story telling is on full display on this page.

*you can practically feel the energy of the storm

Just so lucky and happy to have this in my collection. So nostalgic for me.

The full power of nature at work and Neal Adams makes the courage of Bruce Wayne to match its intensity! Batman tied to the supernatural was popular during the early 70's resurgence opened up many more possibilities for stories of gothic mystery.
