Description

Several years ago, I stumbled across Dimitris’ work on Instagram and it instantly caught my eye thanks to his unique style and strong sense of negative space.

Filled with strange drawings of crows and other animals, he also showcased beautiful commissions of more recognizable pop culture characters, including a Conan piece that took my breath away. In short order, I reached out and arranged for him to draw a Cap commission for me.

In between setting up the commission and its delivery, Dimitris signed up with Cam Jarvis’ Inky Knuckles crew. So, when the opportunity to commission Dimitris arose again, I worked with the IK team to add a Mandalorian piece from Dimi to my collection.

My one request was Dimi incorporate negative space into the piece. While he knocked it out of the park with the detail in my Cap commission, I wanted to see him flex his design muscles a bit with this one.

And boy did he deliver on that front! I absolutely love how the inks feel like they’re pushing down on Mando, adding a Herculean sense to his labors. As a composition, it is most definitely the way.

I hope those packages are insured against former imperials and Ice Spiders! This composition makes him look like the Razor Crest.
