Description

The Freudipe Family was a significant voyage into extreme family relationships over several comic book volumes - one of their mottos is 'A family that lays together stays together' which gives some idea of the content! Leclaire's graphic arena is where cartoon and philosophy meet and his series on nature, gods and the universe are terrific tongue-in-cheek entertainment, which helps with your French too.

This delightful drawing is one of several typical participants from the Freudipe series drawn at the time of publication (32x24cm). The subject expresses the kind of punk teasing that Westwood and McClaren's SEX boutique in London's Kings Road was famous for in the 1970s and so I've added an additional couple of images that show our rivetting heroine seemingly outside this groundbreaking shop and also a resultant pink mounted frame that presents her with a nod to this punk heritage.
