Description

Fourth in my series imagining what might have happened if DC had opted to give the JSA their own yearly title when the company revived their Annuals in the early 198os, notwithstanding that the Justice Society weren't appearing (other than in the JLA/JSA team-ups) at that time, since All-Star Comics had been cancelled in the late 1970s. This time, the 1985 Annual, art by Peter Clinton, adapted from the Kerry Gammill/Dick Giordano cover to Tales Of The Teen Titans #87.

When Mr Terrific was killed in JLA #171, his body was flash-frozen in the cold of space - and Superman used his super-breath to maintain his temperature at below zero degrees when his corpse was taken back to Earth 2 where, in accordance with Terry Sloane's wishes, his brain was removed and cryogenically frozen, hoping that future technologies would allow him to be revived in a cloned body.

Flash-forward to today - and the Ultra-Humanite has stolen Mr Terrific's frozen brain, aiming to use it to increase his own intelligence and finally defeat the Justice Society! Can a handful of JSA members - Flash, Sandman, Atom, Robin and Power Girl - defeat the villain and save Terry Sloane's brain? Find out - inside!

Great pull! By that time those issues were reprints for the newsstand market with new covers and very few collectors paid attention. This cover reimagining is very fun!
