Description

As part of a Secret Santa gift exchange, I was lucky enough to be the beneficiary of the empathetic Tyler T as my Santa. And he went above and beyond with a trifecta of commissioned Star Wars pieces by Australian artist Matthew Dunn. I am unfamiliar with Mr. Dunn�s work, by Tyler knows him to be an artist also with a deep love of cinema, and it became a perfect fit.

This Jawa is drawn to perfection. Efficiency of line, and the right balance of light and dark playing with the positive and negative space. I especially have enjoyed the almost choppy line work of the cloak, leaving the mind to fill the implied line of the mid-sleeves at the folds.

Wow, this is really quite a beautiful illustration of the classic Jawa. A great looking ink rendering style!
