Stingray from Marvel Unbound Year 4 by Bella Rachlin

This is the original card art for Stingray - Card #169 from Marvel Unbound Year 4 by Bella Rachlin. It is truly mixed media: waterproof ink, copic markers, watercolor colored pencils, Posca markers, watercolors, and acrylic paint on A3 paper.

Bella is an amazing artist that I have been following on Instagram for a while now. I had been watching to see if maybe she would open a commission list so I could get her to do a Stingray, but in the end, that was unnecessary as she did this card art! Bella's fantastic use of color is on full display here with the vibrant reds and blues! We say it all the time, but these colors are even more amazing in person; the scans just don't do them justice.

Bella included a pencil sketch of Stingray, some prints, and even a Certificate of Authenticity (see additional images)!

It was put up for auction in The Marvel & DC Trading Card Group over on Facebook. Several other enthusiastic fans of Bella's art reached out directly beforehand and then blew up my FB notifications to make sure that I was aware of the auction when it went live.
