DescriptionAnother artist's interpretation of the Two-Gun Kid, this time by Dave Wachter which, for him, must have been a novel request! It turned out very well though. Many thanks to Andrew Christman (formerly with Cadance Comic Art and now with Kinetic Collectibles) for helping to arrange this particular commission.Social/Sharing |

Bang! Bang! Spot on design of the character being placed in modern styled illustration. Fewer tones on the figure so he can heroically stand out front.

Ooh, I really like this one! Not the style I recall Wachter's art looking like, but beautiful just the same. I love the Kid's facial expression and the very Perkins-ish background washes.

Many thanks, Rubén. Yes, I totally agree that this doesn't appear to be Wachter's style but it is extremely well done all the same.

Many thanks, CJ. Although I am familiar with Dave's work, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The commission turned out very well though!

I only know Dave Wachter's work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Godzilla, so it's cool to see him tackle a Western character like Two-Gun Kid. This one turned out great!

Many thanks, Paul. Yes, I wasn't sure what to expect but he really knocked this one out of the park! Happy New Year!

I wouldn't want to be the one to tell him he's got a stain on his shirt!

A fine addition to your wonderful TGK collection. The original artwork stamp is interesting. While I love the idea of it, I'm not sure how I feel about having it on the art side. Maybe the back of the piece would have been a better idea. Just to preserve the aesthetic but still serving the same purpose.

Many thanks, Eric. I agree that the stamp could have been placed less obtrustively but I suspect that this was deliberate in order to let the viewer know and marking out one's turf in the process. However, it is still an interesting take on the character.
