Description

I started corresponding with various artists whose work I'd appreciated in 1998 via eBay. In 2002 I had the opportunity to purchase the warehouse stock of the George Pratt No Man's Land Tundra sketchbook. I reached out to George to see if he was interested in sketching in a few copies and as a result of those conversations shipped a large number of these to him for his own stock and then with my wife the next year drove down to visit him and pick up work from him and from Scott Hampton and hang out for a few days. It was one of the most gratifying Road Trips of my entire life from an artistic perspective. Here we are over 20 years later and occasionally I still take out this illustration to look at it the line work is bar none. Just magnificent it's somber and evocative and everything a strong drawing should be.
