What a fun page, Derek! The dynamic between Maxima and the Supermen is hilarious. Two strong willed characters fighting over Superman, even though there are two of him now! The playful tension adds a unique, lighter touch to the page. The way Maxima and the Supermen each assert themselves shows off their personalities, and the idea of "Super-Rizz" is a fun nod to Clark’s usual inability to charm the ladies, even though Superman sometimes can. The visuals by Ryan and Breeding capture the drama and humor perfectly.
Cool page! I really enjoyed these issues with Superman Red and Superman Blue.
Congrats on another Maxima page!
This is even more rare than Superman Blue pages as Superman Red only showed up towards the end. Another Maxima rarity to be between both!
Oh now this is just incredibly fun!! Very cool!
My jealousy on you beating me out on this page is already on record, but I have to say Ryan did a fantastic job with the illusion of movement by the characters in every panel.
I knew the Matrix stole the whole red pill or blue pill thing from somewhere
The late, great Paul Ryan pencils with inks by the incomparable Brett Breeding......one of the best team ups ever !!
