The tour of Dracula's dungeon continues, and Brand wants more gender equality in the exhibits.

“Emotions are running high, Vance. You promised us some ladies, too, if I'm not mistaken.”

“More than fair, my friend. We are about to enter, ladies and gentlemen, the sanctum sanctorum of a beautiful countess. Forgive me if there are abundant traces of blood on these stairs. The fact is, you see… she bathes in blood!… Oh, forgive me, Madame Countess. I should have knocked before I came up to you with these visitors.”

“You are forgiven, my friend. I am not ashamed of my body. Thanks to my special beauty treatments, I have kept it intact all these centuries. And I have not had guests for a long time.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the famous 'Bloody Countess,' Erzsébet Báthory.”

“Sylvaine!”

"Aaahh!"

The sight of Erzsébet was too much for poor Sylvaine, to whom Countess Báthory already appeared in the mirror back on page 64, and whose portrait Harlan and Tesla saw in the castle hall on page 95. Báthory would eventually be the subject of a whole issue, Dampyr #228, whose pages can be found here. Note that this is the first historical figure we've met on this tour, apart from Dracula himself.
