DescriptionDay 04. Thirty-one days of Star Wars (2025 edition). It's Star Wars Day! May the Fourth be with you! The opening text crawl and first scene of Star Wars is one of the most iconic and memorable moments in cinematic history. The Imperial star destroyer Devastator's pursuit and capture of the Tantive IV are significant events in the Star Wars saga, establishing the conflict between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, and providing our introductions to Darth Vader and Princess Leia Organa. Here, Brian Thies pays a splashy homage to Star Wars' beginnings. Ania Solo (a future timeline descendant of Han Solo) and her companions are traveling with the grievously wounded Imperial Knight Jao Assam in the assassin droid AG-37's freighter. While traveling in deep space, they are picked up by the Star Destroyer Animus. This was one of several Legacy vol. 2 pages I picked up from Brian at OAX 2025. Ok, it was more than several. Six. It was six, alright? It might be time to attend an OA Anonymous meeting. Or a Star Wars Anonymous meeting. Some kind of meeting. This is the May! Social/Sharing |

Ship with the Jao Assam
And assassin with Ania comes
Watching the ships roll in
Then I mention OAX again, yeah
I'm sittin' in the docking hold bay
Watchin' Empire roll my way, ooh
I'm just sittin' in the docking hold bay
Wastin' time
I left my homie Akbar
Headed for thirty one days
'Cause Brian's had the fourth to live for
And look like nothing's gonna come to space

such a great page and what a pleasure it was to chat with Brian at OAX and also pick up some pages myself. Only 1 of 6, but you picked a great one for today. May the 4th Be With You!

That droid has a tube head.
Fun fact for the quiz master, IG-88's head in Star Wars Episode V is a repurposed combustion chamber from a Rolls Royce Derwent jet engine. So, he's also a hot head that often goes blasting off. Ha!
