DescriptionDay 29. Thirty-one days of Star Wars (2025 edition). When word comes that Sith are being sought out and murdered by other Sith, Ania Solo and Imperial Knight Jao want to find out why. The only things standing in their way are the Empire, the Jedi, the Galactic Alliance, and the Imperial Knights! But in the midst of these other giant plot points this issue, Brian Thies created this lovely intimate character interaction and hangar scene. After wishing Ania Solo farewell, the reprogrammed assassin droid AG-37 and his newly hired Mon Calamari ship mechanic Sauk (and Ania’s friend) depart on their freighter for a supply run. This is the last of the pages I picked up from Brian at OAX 2025. This is the May! Social/Sharing |

I don't know where's AG Droid
Duel of fates or just mad Sauk?
We're tangled up lines drawing Brian
I'm back here for Imperial Knights
I can wait for you
If you want Thies to
Oh oh, oh oh
It's a trap, my dear
It's a trap, my dear
Creep out for a Sith Knight mag
You said that's it, this one's the last
Well maybe it's Ania for granted
You only AG when you reprogrammed it
All the wasted youth
Tell the hanger dude
Oh oh, oh oh
It's a trap, my dear
It's a trap, my dear
It's a trap, my dear
It's a trap, my dear

An amazing hangar scene! Sad that we are both out of Thies pages to share now. I wonder why that last panel wasn't finished on this art board, did he do a patch on another board or was it finished digitally?

In the moment, I didn't think to ask. He may have done it digitally to save some time. I imagine his pages on this series took some time to dry in-between sessions with all of the brush and wash work.

Wow, carrying on the Butch Guice tradition of beautifully rich, organic brush inking mixed with white paint! Outstanding, it really makes the world come to life!

The white brushwork gives the spacecraft a very nice texture. Congratulations on your OAX pickups, Jeff!
