DescriptionIt's always a pleasure to get the chance to talk with Matt Allison and I not only did that again this year at OAX, but also picked up this Wolverine in the key of Cancor. I also finally got to meet Sean from Athenaeum, as well as a couple of fellow Cankor fans and that really made for a great experience.I love Matt's color work but opted for the black and white this go around due to those gorgeous inks. As always he did not disappoint and we get a wonderful and original take on the big Bub! Big thanks to Matt and Sean at Athenaeum Comic Art for this beauty! Social/Sharing |

Love this, especially the eye on the claw. "What's that doing there?"

Does no one have a mouth in Cankor? sorry I'm the ignorant guy in the comments section ;-p
The inks are GREAT like you say, and the claws out into the eye is SICK!!!

Haha that's a fantastic point that I have never really processed. They can't lose their voice if they don't have any gums to flap! Lol

This is a fantastic, creepy take on Wolverine! Good choice on the black and white; no reason to let color distract you from those deep blacks!

Superb! Wolverine seems more centered and at one with the universe here than usual, IMO, with a portal to the cosmos visible in his serene mug. Doesn't seem to even notice the unfortunate guy sampling his claw

Shuddered a bit when I saw those deep claw cleaves into the fallen enemy's shoulders. This bub means business!

Great choice. I love his interpretation of Wolverine, he really made it his own. Congrats.
