Wendy Pini - The Sensational She-Hulk #50, First of 2 pages (pg 12)

In "Sensational She-Hulk" issue 50, She-Hulk arrives at the offices of Marvel Comics and learns some startling news from editor Renee Witterstaetter. John Byrne has died and She-Hulk needs to choose a new creative team to take over her comic book series. She-Hulk auditions the work of a number of popular creative teams, and this is Wendy and Richard Pini’s contribution. In this 2-page tale, a very elfish She-Hulk has just killed a wolf and she and her partner Smeg smash their way into the evil troll king’s lair. Plenty of playful banter between Wendy and her writer-husband Richard. These pages were procured from the Pini’s collection. Richard described the project as follows: "John Byrne had fun with the revamped "She-Hulk" series, aggressively breaking the "fourth wall" between the characters and the reader. When he asked Wendy to join the ensemble of creators for this pastiche issue, of course there was no question that Elfquest was, by hook or crook, going to manage to worm its way into the Marvel universe."
