DescriptionAs with the inaugural year, OAX 2025 offered a free sketch card opportunity with many artists during a limited window on Sunday. George was not tabling this year, but was high on my list to eventually nab. So, I worked out a commission with him to take one of my cards home to finish at his leisure and viola, Boba Fett! I did not realize George's visage was already emblazoned on a trading card, I should have known. Thanks for throwing one in, George!Just a tip from your cousin Jeff. If commissioning with George it is a great time to combine some shipping and also order some Jack the Radio CDs, stickers, or other swag. Just saying... Social/Sharing |

Even though George wasn’t tabling this year, it's awesome that you commissioned him for this sketch card. Plus, the discovery that George’s image was already on a trading card is such a cool little twist. It’s these fun surprises that make the art collecting experience even more personal and fun!

My Hembeck card book isn't yet complete, but near enough now that I'm targeting some very specific cards to fill it out. While I wait for a chance to bid on them, I've started a new card book that I'm going to fill with cards by folks I know from the OA community, be they artists or otherwise. But everyone has to draw something, even if just a stick figure. These will fit in nicely with my Sharon Snyder cards, one of which was my OAX card commision last year. Speaking of which, I don't think I ever posted those. Perhaps tomorrow's additions!

It's a painting in the card but meantime-
South of the Jawas you stop and you hold everything
A band is blowing Raleigh, double four time
You feel alright when you hear the music ring
Well now you Jack inside but you don't see too many pages
Coming in out of the rain they hear the jizz go down
Illustration Cantina places
Uh but the horns they blowin' up Hage
Way on down south
Way on down south
London town
You check out guitar George, he shows all his cards
Mind, he's strictly drew them he doesn't want to make it lines and ink
They said an old Boba is Hage, he can Star Wars
When he Fetts up over the lines to play his thing
And Jeffrey doesn't mind, if he doesn't, break the scene
He's got a daytime job, he's doing alright
He can say the Bounty talk like anything
Savin' it up, for art day fight
With the Sultan
He is the Sultan of ink
