Another stunning early piece by Don Newton! His mastery of light and shadow is on full display here, with deep blacks and strong contrasts giving the page a noir like intensity. The action flows beautifully from panel to panel, keeping the tension in the action high. That second to last panel, with the dramatic pistol shot and the villain caught mid fall, is especially striking!

A great layout from the get go! Don Newton plays with darkness and light throughout. He knew it would show up better and be more dramatic when printed in the b&w RBCC magazine.
