Everything about this one is the epitome of cool! First panel with the hero in shades, the circle panel, the ip, the hatching patterns, the shadows and light from the fire, and the flames that reach the ceiling show off Newton's talent for dramatic storytelling like a movie director.
Another outstanding display of classic, comic book artistry. The dramatic use of black and white contrast consistently creates a striking sense of depth and urgency, especially in these intense action sequences. Newton's mastery of expression and body language clearly conveys Kirk's desperation and Freeze's determination, particularly in the way they struggle inthe midst of the dire circumstances they find themselves in. The dynamic panel composition and detailed rendering give the scene a cinematic quality, pulling us right into the chaos. It all comes together to create a visually gripping and emotionally charged moment. A fantastic example of vintage sci-fi comic storytelling at its finest!
