Description#IC3 was awesome! If attending OAX is like the warm embrace of a familiar lover at home in front of the fireplace, IC3 is like attending a clothing optional rave at a club you've never been to before. I saw artists, styles, concepts, and stories that I had never imagined before, and it was wild. Matt Sardo has built a true home for a community of artists that many of us have not encountered before, and it is extremely impressive. Kudos to him and the IC3 team. There is much more to be said about IC3 and I'm sure you'll be hearing and seeing more in the days ahead, but I wanted to kick things off with this brilliant commission from Ian Cinco , a seasoned artist who has only somewhat recently returned to the realm of comics. Ian is, as they say, an artist's artist. Hanging out and watching him noodle live during the after-party was definitely one of the highlights of the weekend. To top that off, he's just a genuinely nice person as well. CAF is definitely going to be seeing more of his work. Put IC3 on your calendar! Social/Sharing |

nice dynamic Miles illustration. I like how he is framing him from 3 sides with cityscape at different levels of light/reflection based on distance from the main figure. Miles has the stretchability of an olympic gymnast as he practically has his legs in a 180 degree split while in mid-air! this is a good showcase of his talent as the first piece by Ian to show up on CAF

Maybe the first piece on CAF... but plenty more soon to follow.

You must have gone into one of the side rooms I missed!
All kidding aside, IC3 was a blast and Ian is so talented it's scary! Congrats on this bad ass Miles piece. It was fun getting to see this in person!

I see you
I see you
Walking through a dream, I see you
My light in darkness breathing hope of new Miles
Now I live through you and your Spidey, enchanting
I pray indie art that this dream never ends
IC3 through your eyes
Ian new life, flying high
Your love shines to say Cinco’s Morales
So I offer my Miles for the asking price
I live through your love
You teach me how to see all art's beautiful
My senses touch your work I've never pictured
Now I give Miles hope to you, I’ll remember
I pray in my heart that this con never ends

First of all this is a standout cover quality Spidey! He nailed the character design and pose, and the colors he used on the cityscape really bring it to life. I was amazed when looking at Ian's portfolio at how versatile of an artist he is. Then we see him draw in real time and it immediately evoked thoughts of Ian Bertram. He is a true talent and as you mention a wonderful guy. Really glad we had the opportunity to meet him and this is a stunner!
