Morrie Turner - Wee Pals strip 12-26-05

The delightful and generous Lance Suarez gifted Sheri & I two Morrie Turner strips of Wee Pals that he thought we would enjoy. This one highlights the Jewish character of Jerry with a fun play on being Kosher. It also features Trinh, a Vietnamese kid, Nipper, and African-American kid, and Oliver.

Wee Pals was an American syndicated comic strip about a diverse group of children, created and produced by Morrie Turner. It was the first comic strip syndicated in the United States to have a cast of diverse ethnicity, dubbed the "Rainbow Gang". The strip ran from 1965 until Morrie’s passing in 2014.
