Superman 671 Cover

For being considered the man of steel, you’d think Superman wouldn’t have too much trouble taking care of some bugs.

Here’s a unique piece I was curious when buying. This is from the Insect Queen arc that spanned a few issues of the main Superman title, where artist Peter Vale did both the pencils for the cover and interior to. While the cover to 672 seems to have been penciled and inked by Peter, it seems that issue 671 was inked by Brazilian inker Wellington Diaz (signed The Well on the art and published cover). From what I was told, Vale had done the pencils (unsure if it was physical or digital), which was then scanned into bluelines and sent over to Diaz to inked, creating the finished and published cover here. While I understand this is only the inked cover and that Peter’s traditional pencils may be out there, I still think it’s an cool addition to have a published Superman cover in my collection!
